The Solution: Dell Technologies with VMware Tanzu and Intel
Cloud-native technologies (including microservices deployed in containers and orchestration management technologies for those containers) are the foundation for implementing a new, more modern application infrastructure. Dell Technologies has partnered with VMware Tanzu to provide integrated solutions designed to enable mid-sized enterprises to painlessly upgrade their existing virtualization approach to include these technologies. As shown in Figure 3, Tanzu’s rich set of developer tooling and its streamlined path to building and deploying cloud-native software quickly and securely leverages the performance of Dell’s enterprise-grade hardware with Intel processors, as well as its automation capabilities, tested solutions, and best-in-class support to help organizations accelerate modernization efforts and achieve greater business flexibility. Dell’s cost-efficient “as a service” approach simplifies adoption of this new technology and helps organizations evolve their existing infrastructure and processes in a familiar environment. Dell’s pre-tested and integrated solutions enable organizations to get up and running faster, with fewer obstacles and delays—reducing time, costs, and frustration. The Dell VMware/Tanzu partnership allows organizations to rapidly reap the benefits of an integrated, modernized application infrastructure now, while also being well positioned to adapt and upgrade to future technology changes— wherever they are in their adoption of a cloud-native strategy.
